Date de Parution: 2018-09-19, Vishay Semiconductor Diodes Division
Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. has a new thick-film power resistor that is AEC-Q200 qualified. The resistor is available in a clip-on TO247 package and can be mounted directly on a heat sink. For automotive applications, the Vishay Sfernice LTO 150 provides the industry's highest power consumption of 150W at + 45C case temperature and enhanced pulse processing capabilities. This device consumes 70% more power than other devices in the TO247 package. This reduces the need for components for cooling resistors, which saves board space, simplifies layout, and reduces overall solution costs. Compared to similar TO247 devices, this device offers a 30% improvement in energy processing, further enhancing these advantages, allowing designers to use fewer resistors. The device can operate at a high temperature of + 175C and has a resistance value ranging from 0.03Ohm to 1.3MOhm. It can be used as a pre-charge or discharge resistor for inverters, converters and car chargers for EV, HEV and PHEV. It can also be applied to general industrial and defense power conversion applications. RoHS compliant equipment offers a non-inductive design with tolerances as low as ± 1% and excellent reliability test results.
