Hirose Solar has enhanced its hybrid FPC-to-board connector product line with a 30-bit ultra-low profile version. The series is rated at 30V AC/DC and operates from -55C to +85C. The BK10 series connectors offer a stack height of 0.5mm and a width of 1.7mm, providing significant space savings. Combining a miniature design with a tough, fully armored case makes this series excellent for a wide variety of portable and wearable electronics.
The metal housing protects the series' robust housings from damage due to misalignment when mated. Multi-point soldering enhances PCB peel strength, while the dimpled lock design on the contacts provides high extraction force. Power and signal contacts are designed with two-point contacts to ensure high contact reliability. The connector design effectively utilizes the tip spacing to expand the range of self-alignment when mated. Matching is easily achieved with a wide self-alignment range of ±0.29mm in the pitch direction and ±0.24mm in the width direction.
