The LIS3L02AL is a low-power triaxial capacitive accelerometer that includes a sensing element and an IC interface to obtain information from the sensing element and provide analog signals to the outside world. Sensing elements are capable of detecting acceleration and inertial sensors and silicon actuators are manufactured using a dedicated process developed by ST.

The IC interface is manufactured using a standard CMOS process, allowing a high level of integrated design dedicated circuits that are trimmed to better match the characteristics of the sensing element. The LIS3L02AL has a full scale range of ±2g and is capable of measuring acceleration over 1.5kHz bandwidth on all axes. Using external capacitors can reduce device bandwidth. The self - check function allows you to check the mechanical and electrical signal paths of the sensor.

The LIS3L02AL is packaged in plastic SMD and is guaranteed to operate in the extended temperature range from -40°C to +85°C. LIS3L02AL belongs to a product family suitable for a variety of applications :- Mobile terminals - gaming and virtual reality input devices - free fall detection for data protection - anti-theft systems and inertial navigation - devices and robots.
