The Silicon Labs EZR32 32-bit wireless microcontroller series is the latest product in the Silicon Labs wireless microcontroller product family. It provides high-performance, low-energy wireless solutions in a compact package. The EZR32 microcontroller has an ARM Cortex-M4 or Cortex-M3 core and sub-GHz RF transceiver, making it ideal for battery-powered applications, including utility metering, health monitoring, and home automation. These devices are divided into three series: LG330 (M3 with USB), WG230 (M4 with USB) and WG330 (M4 with USB). Each series provides first-class RF performance and low active power consumption through Silicon Labs EZRadio or EZRadioPro transceivers, and supports precision peripherals including 12-bit analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) and 12-bit digital outputs. -Analog converter (DAC). All microcontrollers of the EZR32 series have up to 41 general-purpose I / O (GPIO) pins that support up to 16 asynchronous external pin interrupts. The LG330 microcontroller is based on an ARM Cortex-M3 processor running at up to 48MHz and includes up to 256 KB of flash memory to provide high performance and high efficiency. Onboard USB 2.0, I2C supporting SMBus, UART / SPI (USART), UART and low power UART (LEUART) provide flexible serial communication for various applications. The WG230 and WG330 microcontrollers are based on the ARM Cortex-M4, which also includes a floating-point unit that operates at up to 48MHz and includes flash memory up to 256 KB. Both WG230 and WG330 series include I2C, USART, UART and LEUART interfaces. The WG330 series also includes USB 2.0. Both series also offer models with EZRadio or EZRadioPro transceivers, with power amplification up to 20dBm. Wireless microcontrollers are ideal for touch-based, battery-powered Internet of Things (IoT) and industrial applications that require longer battery life and energy-efficient human-machine interfaces. In order to evaluate the performance and functionality of Silicon Labs wireless products in a low-cost manner, the SLWSTK62xxx EZ wireless starter kit is available. The kit provides hardware and software tools to develop and debug applications using Silicon Labs' low-power radio. Hardware tools include on-board debugger, advanced energy monitoring and integrated packet tracking.
