STMicroelectronics' ISO808 product family includes the ISO808, ISO808A, ISO808-1,  and ISO808A-1 galvanic isolated octal high side channels,  extending the Intelligent Power Switch (IPS) portfolio flanking the current available ISO8200 family.


The ICs are intended to drive any industrial loads (capacitive, resistive,  or inductive) with one side connected to ground (high side switch). Each IC contains two independent galvanic isolated  voltage domains, VCC and VDD for the process and control logic stages,  respectively. The two stages communicate through the galvanic isolation channel by an ST proprietary protocol.

The ISO808, ISO808A, ISO808-1,  and ISO808A-1 embed STMicroelectronics' very robust galvanic isolation and are offered in PowerSO36 package. ICs differ  for the control interface (parallel or serial) and for the output rating current (0.7A or 1.0A). The suffix "A" stands  for serial version (control logic stage driven by 20 MHz SPI supporting daisy chaining),  and the suffix "-1" stands for 1.0 A output current.

The ICs ISO808, ISO808A, ISO808-1,  and ISO808A-1 in a PowerSO36 package integrate a galvanic isolated eight channels high side switch that can drive  capacitive, resistive, or inductive loads with one side connected to ground for PLC module,  industrial PC peripheral input/output, and numerical control machine
