Avago Technologies ’MGA 430x 2.4GHz amplifier module is a perfectly matched RF power amplifier for applications in the 2.4GHz band and is manufactured using Avago ’s proprietary 0.25μGaAs enhanced mode pHEMT process technology. MGA 430x amplifiers feature compact board area, high gain and high linearity. These modules have two frequency bands. MGA 43040 is used in the 2.3GHz to 2.4GHz band and provides a gain of 40dB, while MGA 43024 is used in the 2.401GHz to 2.484GHz band and provides a gain of 40.5dB. Both provide high linear output power and built-in RF detectors. The MGA 4302x amplifier module provides perfectly matched input and output ports so that the output load can see the same impedance as the source. These amplifiers are built using Avago's GaAs E pHEMT processing technology, which is optimized for high-frequency wireless semiconductors that require low cost equipment, large size, high uniformity, and can efficiently process high-power signals. The amplifier is packaged in a compact 5mm x 5mm chip-on-board (MCOB) module. MGA-43024 is ideal for wireless local area network (WLAN) applications, such as access points and hotspots, while MGA-43040 is designed for the final stage amplification of low- and medium-power cellular base stations.
